Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American performer and actress, is quite popular. As a child Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. In the ninth grade, after a school audition, where she received high praise for her singing, she started to build confidence. This not only increased her confidence, but it also changed the direction she pursued in her professional career. In the year 22 she received her degree from the Julliard School of New York. At the age of 23 she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films with You've Got Mail. The biggest achievement of her career was with her portrayal of The Lady Of The Lake in Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she get the Tony Award, but her performance was also well-received by critics. In the following year, she was cast as Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her gaining wider fame. Alongside having a cult following as a singer, she released a solo and an extended piece. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
